Railroad works

A track crane allows Vandenbroucke to specialize in railroad work, such as replacing old rails, installing new rails, laying streetcar tracks and cable trenches, and digging ditches. We are flexible, including weekends and nights.

Preparation and equipment

Before you start, you need to plan well and get the right stuff ready. That also means having the proper permits and gathering the necessary materials.

Breaking up and placing of rails

It is a big job to remove old pavement and lay down the rails. It must be done precisely so that the rails are at the right height and distance, and most importantly, safe.

Excavation and replenishing ballast

After the rails are in place, there is still work to be done underground. We excavate trenches and fill them with crushed stone. This ensures that the rails lie firmly and do not move.

Construction of streetcar tracks

Once all preparations are complete, we will lay the streetcar tracks. This has to be done very precisely so that the streetcar can run properly, especially on curves and at switches.
